The National MS Society, Michigan Chapter is gearing up for
MS Awareness Week, March 8-14th and we want you to JOIN THE MOVEMENT! The theme will be similar to what we did last year with focus on the overall phrase, 'Move It." Move It is all about moving the message forward; it's about volunteering, walking, cycling, advocating, educating, raising awareness; showing that every unique mark builds the MS movement; it's about encouraging people to support the Society and motivating the millions of people who want to do something about MS now.
WE WANT YOUR IDEAS! We have some exciting ideas and are feverishly working to make this the greatest year ever- now won’t you help us? What do you think we should do to celebrate MS Awareness Week? We want to acknowledge those already involved, invite those who are not, and encourage everyone to do something to increase awareness and MOVE IT! Please email msaw@mig.nmss.org to share your ideas or to let us know what your plans are. We would also love it if you would join us on facebook!
DO YOU have connections to a newspaper? radio station? advertisement company? PR company? billboard company? printing? Do you know anyone downtown that can get a building lit up in orange for us? Could you organize a small (OR BIG) event in your community? Could you contact a restaurant to see if they would donate a percentage of their sales a certain day during the MS Awareness Week? WILL YOU COMMIT TO MOVING IT?
Put on your ORANGE thinking caps and let me know what your thoughts are - the CRAZIER the better! And if you’re planning an event or are doing something in honor of MS Awareness Week please let us know so we can post it on our Web site! We want to show everyone how the MS Community and Michigan is coming together to support the MS cause!
