Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, as I did. And, now upon us, another new year!

It's interesting how as I get older the days really do get shorter, and the years fly by and I'm

left wondering what has happened to the time? Hoping more and more each day that

I'll make good use of my time, now - more than before.

If there could be one wish for me for the New Year it is that we can all make better use

of our time - spending it with family and friends. Not fighting wars, struggling to eke out a living or

pinching pennies to make ends meet. Here's to a better, happier, friendlier New Year for everyone!

At this time of year, we all seem to realize just how important each and every person in our lives is to us. Be sure to let them know. Make a call, send a card, give a hug and above all Remember the reason for the Season! Take care of yourselves and those you care about. Be kind to one another and to yourself. Stay safe, have a wonderful holiday!

Old/New Musings

As I go along on this "journey" I will be posting different musings that I have written. Some are pretty good, others not so much, some downright awful! But, for good or not, here they will be.

Survival

The storm has passed

Calmer than ever before

But what is left behind?

The coral strewn

along the shore

must be traversed carefully.

As relief washes over

that damage was minimal

a realization creeps through.

That although there’s comfort

trepidation exists

for a future no one can predict

So precautions are taken

as much as possible

but remember to leave room

For as fragile as all seems

after the storm

There’s room for much growth

It survived because of it’s strength.
